Singapore: On the day that the 2020 SMBC Singapore Open official app was launched, discounted tickets for the prestigious event went on sale.

England’s Justin Rose, Swede Henrik Stenson and American Matt Kuchar – gold, silver and bronze medallists respectively at the 2016 Rio Olympics – will be the main drawcards in the US$1 million event from January 16-19.

A host of leading Asian Tour and Japan Golf Tour Organisation members will also be in the field over the Serapong Course at Sentosa Golf Club, a Golf Course Facility Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation that was recently crowned Singapore’s Best Golf Course and the World’s Best Golf Club respectively at the World Golf Awards.

Tickets are available both online and via the official app – SMBC Singapore Open.

Until November 25, those that download the app will enjoy 50% off general course passes. From November 26, a 20% discount will be applicable.

The app boasts some enticing new features including the ability to live track all 156 players on the course. Tee times and live scores will be available at your fingertips, while the fan guide will depict fun things to do, promotions available and directions on course. Golf enthusiasts will also be able to see various views of the course map, including a 360-degree view, flyover imagery and the green contour maps of all 18 holes.

In addition to the above offers, an early bird promotion with 10% discount is available until November 30 if you buy tickets online at www.smbcsingaporeopen.com/ticketing/

It’s the fifth successive season that the SMBC Singapore Open will be jointly sanctioned by the Asian Tour and Japan Golf Tour Organisation.

Thailand’s Jazz Janewattananond was victorious at the SMBC Singapore Open at the start of this year. He held off challenges from world stars Paul Casey and Matthew Fitzpatrick, both from England, and is expected to be back to defend what will be the 54th edition of Singapore’s national Open.
