The Sustainability Awards honour the people, teams and organisations who have made sustainability an integral part of their business practice or overall mission.
Profile is one of four companies to earn recognition in two categories.
Sustainability Initiative of the Year
This award is given to an organisation that launched or completed a sustainability initiative or project within the last 12 months. Profile won for its environmental scorecard that outlines the work the company has done to create a more sustainable environment, including restoring more than 1.5 million acres of land. The scorecard set new benchmarks for environmental goals and pushes the industry to move toward more sustainable practices. Profile is one of 11 companies to earn this award. Other winners include Discovery Education, The Weather Company (an IBM business) and Intrepid Group.
Sustainability Leadership Award
This award is given to an organisation whose actions over the last 12 months prove sustainability is a core business objective. Profile earned recognition for several of its sustainability measures, including being the first in the industry to adopt packaging with up to 12 percent recycled content, the most available by current packaging vendors. The company was also recognised for its educational outreach and new wood fibre processing plant that features state-of-the-art greenhouses for sustainability research and development.
Profile is one of nine companies to earn this award along with Bridgestone Americas, the National Association of Realtors and the Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine.

The Business Intelligence Group accepted applications from for-profit and not-for-profit businesses of all sizes throughout the globe.
