Bangalore, India: Golf course management, development and marketing company Troon has signed a partnership with Karnataka Golf Association (KGA).

Boasting an 18-hole course that opened in 1989, KGA has appointed Troon International to work closely with its management team to enhance the course and market the venue to a wider global audience.

Through its expertise in agronomy and golf course conditioning, Troon will help to guide the greenkeeping team to ensure that the course is kept in top condition year-round.

“Karnataka Golf Association houses a fantastic course and a wide range of facilities,” said Mark Chapleski, President of Troon International, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

“These amenities give the complex the potential to be a world-class golfing destination, and Troon is thoroughly looking forward to working in developing its agronomic reputation alongside the staff currently on the ground,” he added.

In addition to its 6,945-yard course, facilities at KGA include a driving range, clubhouse, swimming pool and a gym.

Harish Shetty, President KGA, said: “We are delighted to be able to call on the worldwide expertise that Troon International provides and look forward to seeing improvements to the course condition as a result of their advice.”

KGA is the second course that Troon works with in Bangalore, with Prestige Golfshire Club having been a Troon partner for more than seven years.
