Shenzhen, China: GOLFTEC has opened a state-of-the-art performance centre in Shenzhen, the company’s first on the Chinese mainland.

The new Nanshan District facility features seven teaching/practice bays staffed by highly-trained coaches. These individuals leverage GOLFTEC’s teaching technology – including advanced motion measurement, video analysis and premium launch monitors – to help any student find the lesson plan best suited for their unique needs.

GOLFTEC students drop an average of seven strokes from their scores.

GOLFTEC Nanshan also features the company’s enhanced TECFIT custom club fitting programme. The Tour-like fitting experience combines swing characteristics with ball flight data to help identify optimal golf equipment for each student. An array of clubhead/shaft options are available to perfectly match players of any skill level with the clubs that best meet their needs.

Nearly 75% of all golfers who experience a TECFIT custom driver fitting gain an average of 25 yards over their previous equipment.

“Shenzhen stands as the epicentre of not only China’s rapidly expanding technology industry, but also its golfing tradition, as it’s home to more golf courses than any other city in China,” said Joe Assell, Co-Founder and CEO of GOLFTEC, an Indoor Golf and Practice Facility Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation. “We look forward to bringing our unique, technology-focused approach to instruction and club fitting to the areas many golfers.”

With over 200 locations around the globe, GOLFTEC is the world’s largest provider of golf instruction and premium custom club fittings. GOLFTEC Nanshan is just the latest in the company’s international expansion, joining facilities in Canada, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore.

“GOLFTEC has proven to be immensely popular in Hong Kong and we are excited to bring our offering to neighbouring Shenzhen,” said Anurag Mathur, GOLFTEC Southeast Asia Franchise Owner. “The company’s proven teaching and club fitting methods will help the large and growing number of Chinese golfers improve and find greater enjoyment in the game.”

The global GOLFTEC coaching team is comprised of experienced instructors, most of whom are PGA Professionals and have taught thousands of lessons. Each goes through a rigorous multi-week certification at GOLFTEC University including continued, advanced training to master the analysis of golf swing mechanics, the technology utilised by GOLFTEC and the most productive teaching techniques.

Committed to strengthening the industry and hiring only the best staff, GOLFTEC is the largest employer of PGA Instructors in the world.
