Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: TPC Kuala Lumpur’s outstanding start to 2018 has continued.
Following on from the West Course’s inclusion in the World’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses listing, TPC Kuala Lumpur has secured 89th place in the Top 100 Platinum Golf & Country Clubs of the World 2018-2019, up one notch since 2015.
“To be acknowledged as a five-star platinum club is a great achievement in the private club industry and we are super proud and grateful for such a prestigious recognition. Our commitment in delivering world-class services and facilities is now truly recognised both locally and internationally,” said
Steven Thielke, Chief Executive Officer of TPC Kuala Lumpur, a Golf Course Facility Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
The five-star platinum club status is the pinnacle of recognition for private clubs around the world and was officially launched in 2013 and considered the sister to Platinum Clubs of America.
Although both were founded by
John Sibbald and are orchestrated by Club Leaders Forum, under the guidance of the Advisory Board, there is a distinctive selection process and categories among the two awards.
“This recognition definitely motivates us to continuously maintain our position as one of the finest golf and country clubs in the world. It instills a sense of pride among us knowing how prestigious it is to be one of the five-star platinum clubs,” said
Farroul Hossey, Club Manager of TPC Kuala Lumpur.
The Platinum Clubs of the World elections are conducted by Club Leaders Forum every two years, representing 30 countries and elected by a panel of golf connoisseurs and private club industry experts from 19 countries, who cast their votes in a confidential ballot that is certified as true and correct.
