Toro is now elevated to the Platinum Partner level, which includes becoming the exclusive sponsor of the new CGSA/Toro Assistant Superintendent of the Year Award, and continuing sponsor of the Gordon Witteveen Award.
In addition, Toro will sponsor the Specialised Learning Workshops during the Canadian Golf Course Management Conference (CGCMC), the CGSA Fall Field Day Welcome Reception and will be a contributor to the CGSA Silent Auction.
“This tremendous commitment by Toro allows the CGSA to offer our members unique awards that recognise their contributions to the golf industry and enhances the experiences for our members,” said Jim Flett, CGSA President. “As an industry leader and a major supporter of the CGSA, Toro’s renewed commitment with the association, provides benefits for the golf course management industry in Canada.”
Brad Hamilton, Vice President of Commercial at Toro, said: “Toro is honoured to continue and strengthen our decades long relationship with the CGSA, and to support the growth initiatives of the golf industry, the CGSA and its members.
“The CGSA is a tremendous association with a team of highly committed leaders that continually strive to make a positive impact. We appreciate this unique opportunity to partner with the CGSA to support their initiatives into the future.”
Toro and the CGSA have collaborated to launch the inaugural CGSA/Toro Assistant Superintendent of the Year Award. This award, which recognises Assistant Superintendents that have demonstrated excellence at their club, includes an All-Access CGCMC registration and an invitation to The Toro Experience for Assistant Superintendents – an exclusive event hosted at Toro’s World Headquarters, along with complimentary travel and accommodation for both of these prestigious educational opportunities.
Each year, in honour of Gordon Witteveen, Toro provides an award to a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent who publishes an article in GreenMaster magazine, the official publication of the CGSA, whose article is judged as being the best of the year by a panel of industry peers.
The CGSA represents golf course superintendents, assistant superintendents, equipment technicians, and others involved in golf course management across Canada. CGSA was founded in 1966 and has over 1,000 members.
Its mission is to promote excellence in golf course management and environmental responsibility through the continuing professional development of its members.
