Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Jumeirah Golf Estates has highlighted the importance of further enhancing the overall experience of its customers as the key reason behind adopting a new fleet of utility vehicles from Club Car.
Part of the exclusive European Tour Properties network of world-class golf venues, Jumeirah Golf Estates has taken delivery of electric and petrol-powered Carryall vehicles, all supplied by Club Car’s distributor and partner in the Middle East, Hydroturf.
The fleet will operate across the two Greg Norman-designed courses at the venue, Fire and Earth, the latter having hosted the European Tour’s season-ending DP World Tour Championship since 2009.
Julian Small, Managing Director of Club Operations at Jumeirah Golf Estates, said: “Jumeirah Golf Estates continues to be one of the world’s premier golfing destinations and aims to set an unrivalled level of customer service to our members, residents and guests.
“It is, therefore, important we work alongside the industry’s leading suppliers, and Club Car shares a similar corporate ethos based around the delivery of the highest standard of customer service.
“In addition, the team at Hydroturf is able to satisfy our requirements in terms of maintaining and servicing the vehicles on-site. This significantly reduces downtime and ensures our team of greenkeepers can maintain both courses to the highest standard throughout the year.”
The new fleet of Club Car vehicles also adheres to the same eco-friendly and environmentally sound principles and practices, which are at the core of Jumeirah Golf Estates’ philosophy and have been championed by the award-winning destination since it opened in 2009.
Mark Tupling, Manager of Agronomy at Jumeirah Golf Estates, said: “Jumeirah Golf Estates has established itself as one of the foremost leaders of environmentally-sustainable practices over the years, and the eco-friendly benefits of Club Car’s utility vehicles were significant.
“The electric vehicles’ high frequency charger helps optimise its efficiency, while the engine on the petrol vehicle has already helped us reduce our fuel consumption, which will further minimise our carbon footprint over the coming years.”
Alongside the new utility vehicles, Club Car, a world-leading manufacturer of small-wheel, zero-emissions electric vehicles and one of the most respected names in the golf industry, also provides Jumeirah Golf Estates with a substantial fleet of Precedent i2 golf cars.
Club Car is an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
