Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: In light of the Ramadan Spirit, TPC Kuala Lumpur is collaborating with Kechara Soup Kitchen (KSK), a non-profit organisation in the Ramadan #zerowastage project.
This charity project aims to reach out to the homeless people of Kuala Lumpur by providing free packed meals as a contribution to ease their suffering.
It is also an effective measure for TPC Kuala Lumpur in helping to curb the growing problem of food wastage in the country.
Every night after the Dapur Muhibbah Buffet Dinner comes to an end, the F&B staff of TPC Kuala Lumpur will segregate the high quality excess food from the event and pack them neatly.
KSK will pick up the packed meals at around 11 pm to be distributed by a group of volunteers to the homeless and urban families in the Klang Valley. This initiative may be the first for TPC Kuala Lumpur but certainly not the last as there will be plans to continue the project even after Ramadan.
TPC Kuala Lumpur is a Golf Course Facility Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
