London, England: Colt Mackenzie McNair (CMM), the specialist executive search firm operating across the global golf markets, has embarked on a new, internationally-focused employment initiative with the PGA of America.
Drawing on CMM’s industry-wide reputation and expertise, the PGA of America is seeking to ensure that its 28,000 members are at the forefront of golf’s drive into new and emerging markets around the world.
The PGA of America already has members working in 35 countries around the world. However, with the growth of golf in emerging markets, an increasing percentage of the potential career opportunities available to PGA of America Professionals will lie outside the US.
“The primary objectives of the PGA of America’s new global employment strategy are to identify to employers that PGA of America Professionals are truly best in class, and to share with our members the opportunities that exist globally,” said Darrell Crall, the PGA of America’s Chief Operating Officer.
To that end, some of the first efforts in this new partnership have seen CMM produce content highlighting golf’s changing global dynamic, information regarding the challenges of living abroad and developing case studies on the positive impact and experiences that some PGA of America Professionals have had outside of the US.
“We believe that our partnership with the PGA of America is the perfect marriage in golf’s current climate of global growth outside the US domestic market,” said Adam Keable, a Director at CMM, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
“The PGA of America has recognised and acknowledged the growing number of opportunities that exist for its members overseas, while we at CMM have the expertise and experience to guide and advise them as they step out into this new market of opportunity.”
