Brisbane, Australia: Toro has launched a special initiative to help key customers in Asia gain an in-depth understanding of the best in class operating and maintenance procedures of Toro equipment.
Among the recent beneficiaries has been Arun Yadav, Golf Course Maintenance Manager at India’s DLF Golf and Country Club. He was invited to visit the Toro Australia Equipment Service Centre in Brisbane.
DLF Limited (Delhi Land & Finance) is the largest commercial real estate developer based in New Delhi, India.
The DLF Golf and Country Club, located in Gurgaon, opened in 1999 and is part of DLF 5, a master-planned, integrated development with high-end residential, commercial, retail and community facilities.
The DLF Golf and Country Club has two signature golf courses – a nine-hole Arnold Palmer designed course and a new 18-hole course designed by Gary Player.
Yadav’s trip included visits to Brookwater Golf Course, Sanctuary Cove Golf Course (where even some kangaroos showed up on the course) and Brisbane Golf Club, all located in the Australian state of Queensland.
Yadav returned to India full of enthusiasm and new ideas to put in place at the DLF Golf & Country Club.
The training programme included sessions on cut appearance and trouble-shooting, day-to-day fleet maintenance, My Turf Management programme and other product training and technical discussions.
“The focus given to ‘best practice’ systems and procedures at the Toro service centre has provided me with tremendous knowledge and many ideas that can be implemented at DLF. I thank the team at Toro Australia, especially Grant Woodcock and Steve Timms.
“I hope these kind of training experiences can become an annual programme so we at DLF can be on the top of all technological advanced systems” said Yadav.
DLF Golf and Country Club is serviced by Toro distributor, Irrigation Products International.
