Toro Introduces Customisable ROPS Extension Kits

toro-rops_extension-lowBloomington, Minneapolis, United States: Toro has announced the introduction of the Two-Post Roll-Over Protection System (ROPS) extension options on select Toro Groundsmaster and Reelmaster models.
Designed with a focus on ergonomics, the innovative Two-Post ROPS extension kits allow for adding a number of accessories to deliver a high level of operator comfort in an economical package.
Featuring a number of ergonomic benefits to the end user, the system allows grounds and equipment managers the ability to select options that are right for their respective applications.
This includes an interior adjustable-speed fan for increased ventilation, a sunshade that shelters the operator from the elements, and interior and exterior mirrors to increase overall visibility. Combined, these features help reduce operator fatigue and contribute to a highly productive operation.
The Two-Post ROPS extension system is currently available on the Groundsmaster 5900-D Series, the Groundsmaster 4000-D/4100-D Series, and the Groundsmaster 360.
Beginning in January 2017, this system will also fit on the 2017 models of the Groundsmaster 4300-D/4500-D/4700-D Series, Reelmaster 5010 Series, and the Reelmaster 7000 Series.
“This new system offers not only an unprecedented level of operator comfort, but also a variety of options that allows users to tailor the system to best suit their individual needs,” said Kevin Conry, Senior Marketing Manager at Toro, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
“This system includes a number of ergonomic features that reduce operator fatigue, while still remaining affordable to budget-savvy equipment managers,” he added.
In addition to providing enhanced comfort and custom solutions for customers with tight budgets, the Two-Post ROPS extension kits provide a number of other options.
These include front and rear LED work lights, a rotating beacon with breakaway mounting, and a polycarbonate windscreen to protect the operator from dust and debris.
The addition of a tempered safety glass windshield with optional electric wiper helps provide protection and visibility in poor weather conditions. Another option is the integration of a safety cage, which helps to protect the operator from flying golf balls, and can be locked to prevent equipment vandalism.
Toro offers standard North American and European light kits that are compatible with the new Two-Post ROPS extension system. The system is now available from worldwide Toro Commercial distributors.
