Paris, France: Titleist Brand Ambassador Thongchai Jaidee’s victory in the 100th Open de France also marked the 100th win for Pro V1 players across the worldwide professional Tours this season.
The Thai veteran carded consecutive rounds of 68 at Le Golf National in Paris (site of the 2018 Ryder Cup) en route to an 11-under-par 273 victory total.
It was the eighth European Tour title of Thongchai’s career. At the age of 46, he became the oldest winner in Open de France history.
With his winning performance, Thongchai vaults to number 37 in the Official World Golf Ranking.
Titleist was the most relied upon golf ball at the Open de France with 101 players in the field trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than five times the nearest competitor with 19.
The win was the 16th for Titleist golf ball loyalists this season, four times the nearest competitor with four.
Titleist is part of the Acushnet company, a Full Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
