Munich, Germany: Troon and golf.extra have entered a strategic partnership that brings together the world’s leading third-party management company and Germany’s top specialist golf travel company.
To mark the new association, Asian Golf Industry Federation [AGIF] Executive Member Troon and its partner have unveiled a new bespoke showcase on www.golf-extra.com to demonstrate the strength and depth of the golf experiences on offer to golfers from across Troon’s International Division.

“golf.extra and Troon have strong brand synergies of discerning experiences, excellence, and providing our guests the very best,” said Bruce Glasco, Chief Operating Officer, Managing Director, Troon International Division.
“We look forward to a close working relationship with the team at golf.extra and providing a seamless booking process for guests across the strong German speaking golfing regions of northern Europe,” added Glasco, a Board member of the AGIF.
Following the creation of similar partnerships in the United Kingdom, this new relationship forges ties with another of Europe’s leading tour operators and a one-stop-shop to a plethora of international experiences, including Spain’s Las Colinas Golf & Country Club, the Greek resort of Costa Navarino, Abu Dhabi Golf Club and PalmGolf Marrakech Palmeraie and Ourika.
Further experiences include the traditional English links of Princes Golf Club; the history of Chateau D’Augerville in France and the challenge of Norway’s Artic Circle at Lofoten Links.
“Troon presents an obvious partner for our company,” said Markus Stadler, Managing Director, golf.extra. “They have the ability to offer golfers unmatched golf experiences at some of the world’s finest golf courses, many of which have strong connections with German speaking golfers.
“Troon’s attention to detail and unparalleled expertise match our vision to provide our guests the ultimate service. We look forward to seeing our relationship flourish and our guests benefiting from Troon’s experience.”
Tour operators such as golf.extra are a key part of Troon’s strategy to deliver greater numbers of players across its international portfolio.
The German speaking golf market is second only to the United Kingdom in terms of size and therefore an essential market for any successful resort. Troon properties stand to gain significantly as a result of golf.extra’s strong foothold among this clientele.
golf.extra has been delivering exclusive golf travel solutions since 2007, serving more than 7,000 customers annually.
Founded by PGA professional and industry expert Ergül Altinova, it is also a partner of the PGA of Germany, exclusive travel partner to the Swiss PGA and the Bavarian Golf Federation.
