Beijing, China: Jacobsen enjoyed a successful China Golf Show as co-sponsors of the educational programme and the networking dinner, both events held at the Beijing International Conference Centre.
Jacobsen was the only machinery manufacturer to formally sponsor the event and
Chuck Greif, Managing Director of Jacobsen APAC, was warmly welcomed during the opening ceremony of the show together with the other sponsors.
During the first day, Greif gave video interviews to
Golf People Magazine,
Fun Golf and the
Guangdong Golf Channel about Jacobsen’s sponsorship of the event and their commitment to providing education.
During these interviews, he communicated Jacobsen’s commitment to new product development and spoke about the HR700, Jacobsen’s new 14-foot wide area rotary mower and the recently introduced range of tractor-mounted aeration equipment launched at the Golf Industry Show in San Diego.
He also emphasised the company’s simple philosophy of the ‘Three Bs’ – ‘Build great relationships with customers’; ‘Build equipment that meets or surpasses their needs’ and ‘Back it up for the duration of its working life’.
On day two, Jacobsen co-sponsored a networking dinner which was attended by more than 100 course owners, superintendents, architects and equipment suppliers.

Summing up Jacobsen’s presence at the event, Greif said: “A thoroughly enjoyable show at which we were able to meet several prospective customers and reach out to our existing contacts from across China.
“There are still business opportunities here, despite the slowdown in golf and by attending and co-sponsoring the education programme we demonstrated our commitment to the region.”
Jacobsen is an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
