Orlando, United States: Outdoor instructional workshops, daily keynote sessions, certification programmes and classroom seminars will create a comprehensive educational calendar at next year’s 63rd PGA Merchandise Show.
Detailed descriptions of educational programming, instructor biographies and online registration are now available at PGAShow.com for the gathering from January 26-29, 2016.
Early savings on conference registration fees are available through December 14. PGA professionals are able to earn more than 30 MSR credits through participation in PGA Education and PGA Merchandise Show programmes.
“The 2016 PGA Merchandise Show Education Conference has been developed to help PGA professionals improve customer loyalty and satisfaction through key insights from the game’s top teachers and business strategy experts,” said PGA of America Senior Director of Education and Employment Dawes Marlatt.
“PGA professionals are at the forefront of moving the game and the business of golf into the future and this year’s educational offerings provide the latest trends and industry insights, hands-on instruction, best practices and brand engagement strategies to drive their business forward.”
On January 26, PGA professionals Michael Breed and Mike Malaska will present one-hour instructional workshops and David Leadbetter will offer a three-hour ‘A Swing’ training course during the PGA Show Outdoor Demo Day at Orange County National Golf Centre.
Additionally, the PGA of America CPP Player Development certification programme and a condensed FlightScope Academy programme will be offered that day.
The daily keynote education sessions from January 27-29 begin each conference day at the Orange County Convention Centre and feature presentations by Cornell University Professor of Strategy Cathy A. Enz, Ph.D, on profit management (Wednesday); a panel of successful golf facility operators discussing how to achieve career aspirations (Thursday); and David Leadbetter who will present a one-hour condensed presentation of the ‘A Swing’ (Friday).
The keynote sessions begin a schedule of more than 40 classroom seminars led by many of golf’s most respected subject matter experts and industry leaders. Classroom seminars will focus on four key content tracks – teaching and coaching, leadership, retail/merchandising, and sales and marketing.
The 63rd PGA Merchandise Show will welcome some 1,000 top golf companies and brands, and more than 40,000 industry professionals from around the world, to the industry’s annual global ‘Major of Golf Business’.
In 2016, the annual international gathering of the golf industry will celebrate the Centennial of the PGA of America, founder and organising partner of the PGA Merchandise Show. The PGA Merchandise Show is a trade-only event and is not open to the public.
