Singapore: Across the worldwide professional Tours, Titleist ran the table last week as seven Titleist golf ball loyalists won the seven tournaments staged around the globe.
In total, 21,444 players have teed up Titleist golf balls in competition on the 2015 worldwide professional Tours, nearly six times the nearest competitor with 3,744 and more than all competitors combined.
Counting these latest wins, Titleist’s 2015 victory total advances to 158. That’s more than five times the nearest competitor with 31 and more than all competitors combined.
In Malaysia, Justin Thomas (Pro V1x) earned his first career PGA Tour crown with a one-shot win over fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Adam Scott (Pro V1x) at the CIMB Classic.
The 22-year-old fired a final round six-under-par 66 en route to a tournament-record victory total of 26-under 262 at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club, a Golf Facility Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation. Thomas posted a course-record 11-under 61 in the second round.
Scott, playing two groups ahead of Thomas on Sunday, made an eagle and seven birdies in carding a closing 63.
Titleist Brand Ambassador Kevin Na (Pro V1x) and Titleist golf ball loyalist Brendan Steele (Pro V1x) tied for third, another shot back, as the top four finishers all relied upon Titleist for their success.
Na, who is now second to Thomas in the early-season FedEx Cup points standings, finished second in a play-off at the Frys.com Open and tied for second at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in his previous two events to start the 2015-16 campaign.
Rounding out the leaderboard, nine of the 13 players who finished among the top-10 and ties, including Titleist golf ball loyalist James Hahn (Pro V1x) who finished alone in sixth place and Titleist Brand Ambassador Scott Piercy (Pro V1x) who finished tied seventh, relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success.
Titleist was the most relied upon golf ball in the limited-field field of 78, with 48 players, six times the nearest competitor with eight.
Titleist was also the top choice in the hybrid (11) and iron (20) categories. Vokey Design Wedges also topped the approach, sand and lob wedge (66) category.
Elsewhere, Titleist Brand Ambassador Victor Dubuisson (Pro V1x) kicked off the European Tour’s Final Series in style, charging down the stretch to claim his second career Turkish Airlines Open title.
Continuing her standout play in her rookie season, Titleist golf ball loyalist Kim Sei-young (Pro V1) captured her third LPGA Tour win at the Blue Bay Masters.
In Newport Beach, California, Titleist golf ball loyalist Duffy Waldorf (Pro V1x) captured his first Champions Tour victory in convincing fashion, setting course and tournament records at the Toshiba Classic.
The winning ways continue on the Japan Golf Tour for Titleist Brand Ambassador Kim Kyung-tae (Pro V1x), who recorded his fourth victory of the season with his two-shot win at the ABC Championship.
Hampered by injury for a good part of 2015, Titleist Brand Ambassador Brett Rumford (Pro V1x) bounced back with a win in his native Australia.
In Uruguay, Titleist Brand Ambassador Lanto Griffin (Pro V1x) broke through for his first PGA Tour Latinoamérica event at the Roberto De Vicenzo Punta del Este Open.
Titleist is part of the Acushnet company, a Full Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
