Amsterdam, Holland: Redexim bv, the parent company of Charterhouse Turf Machinery, has reached an agreement to purchase the assets of BLEC Global Ltd.
The deal includes the purchase of the BLEC name and means that the products will continue to be traded around the world by Redexim under the name of BLEC.
Redexim, a Full Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation, will now be responsible for the full manufacture and distribution of the current range of more than 80 different BLEC machines throughout the world.
Discussions are currently underway to set up dealer arrangements in the countries within which BLEC operates and announcements about this will be made in due course.
BLEC, founded in 1986, has gained a sound reputation around the world for developing new and innovative machinery that is well engineered, built for long life and reliable.
The company offers a wide range of specialised landscaping and turfcare machinery, both walk behind and tractor mounted models, to suit a varied range of requirements.
BLEC products have been used by greenkeepers, groundsmen, turf growers, landscapers, contractors and installation companies around the world.
In a article in Golf Business News, Herman de Bree from Redexim in Holland said: “The BLEC range of equipment has a very good name for strength and reliability in markets across the world where Redexim is already strongly represented.
“We currently manufacture and market the BLEC designed Sandmaster machine – it was therefore a natural move to take on the rest of the BLEC range, which complements the Redexim products and is sold in many countries where we are very well represented.
“We look forward to continuing the supply of this well-established range of machines and parts both to support existing customers, and to develop business with new customers for years to come.”
