Virginia, United States: An exciting week is in store for Titleist as it marks the start of the Tour seeding and performance validation process with its staff players for new prototype 716 irons and 816 hybrids.
The company’s golf club R&D team is on-site at the Quicken Loans National event on the PGA Tour, working closely with many of the best players in the world to get their feedback as they put these new prototypes in play for the first time.
Tour validation is a critical step in the process that all Titleist golf clubs go through prior to being launched to market to ensure they are faithful to the Titleist brand promise of innovation, performance and quality excellence.
The next steps in the process will be continued work across the worldwide professional Tours to get player feedback globally.
In the coming weeks, Titleist will start working with its network of trade partners and certified club fitters to educate them on the performance benefits to help them provide a better experience for consumers when the products come to market.
Titleist is part of the Acushnet company, a Full Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
