Jakarta, Indonesia: Cambodia’s Angkor Golf Resort and Malaysia’s Kota Permai Golf & Country Club have been honoured at the fourth annual IAGTO Asia Golf Tourism Convention (AGTC).
The Asian Golf Industry Federation Golf Facility members were among the recipients of IAGTO’s Diamond Award.
Golf courses in six countries in the Asia Pacific region were recognised for the excellence of their facilities and service in the 2015 IAGTO Excellence Awards.
David Baron, Director of Golf, Angkor Golf Resort, said: “We’re delighted to be receiving the prestigious IAGTO Excellence Awards for 2015. Such awards are a tremendous boost not only for the golf course but for the destination of Siem Reap.
“Since opening in 2008, the course has gone from strength to strength, scooping a number of international awards. During this time, Siem Reap has also taken huge strides as a destination, growing in popularity each year.
“I think our strengths are a combination of the world-class golf course, clubhouse and practice facilities combined with the emphasis we place on attention to detail and customer service.
“Together, these factors help provide our visitors with a unique experience. The consumer is spoilt for choice in the Asia Pacific region; therefore it’s crucial we pay close attention to our trade relationships and work closely with our fellow IAGTO members to actively promote our facility and destination.”
Kong Ai Lin, Manager – Market Communication, Kota Permai Golf & Country Club, said: “It is an exceptional honour to be bestowed the IAGTO Diamond Award in the IAGTO Excellence Awards 2015.

“Kota Permai consistently delivers an exceptional experience to visiting golf travellers who are pleasantly surprised with our well-maintained international 18-hole golf course backed by our staff’s warm and friendly hospitality. The charisma of Kota Permai makes golf travellers want to come back again to enjoy the best golf experience in the region.”
