Hanoi, Vietnam: Hanoi will take centre stage for the Asian Golf Industry Federation’s (AGIF) fourth educational seminar of the year.
Presented by the AGIF and supported by The R&A, the two-day event – May 25-26 – will feature high-profile keynote speakers as well as a field day at which a variety of companies will display their new products.

The Hanoi gathering follows successfully completed AGIF educational seminar this year in Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines.
The third AGIF Superintendent Volunteer Education Programme was held at Singapore’s Sentosa Golf Club in conjunction with the HSBC Women’s Champions in early March.
A week later there was a record turnout at the Sustainable Turfgrass Management in Asia conference, of which the AGIF Turfgrass Management Exposition was a major component.
The Expo was one element of a three-day gathering in the Central Thai beach resort of Pattaya that also included the 7th Asian Turfgrass Field Day. The conference was organised by the Thai Golf Course Superintendents’ Association, the Thailand Golf Association and the Asian Turfgrass Centre, with support from The R&A.
Staged at Laem Chabang International Country Club, the third edition of the Expo attracted more than 250 delegates from almost 20 countries, representing Asia, Oceania, Africa, Europe, and North America.
Ahead of Hanoi, more than 100 golf course superintendents, course maintenance managers, golf directors and club managers attended last week’s Philippine Golf Course Management Conference.
The two-day gathering at The Orchard Golf and Country Club in Dasmarinas City was presented by the AGIF and supported by the Philippine Sports Commission and The R&A. The conference was organised by the Federation of Golf Clubs Philippines in co-operation with the National Golf Association of the Philippines.
In the second half of 2015, further AGIF educational events are tentatively planned for Malaysia, Indonesia, China and Taiwan.
