Texas, United States: Jacobsen, a Textron Inc company and manufacturer of high-quality turf maintenance equipment, has recognised its top-performing dealers and sales people.
During the recent Golf Industry Show, PT Sahabat Agritama, based in Jakarta, received the top award, namely APAC Distributor of the Year.
They were presented with their trophy by David Withers, President of Jacobsen, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation [AGIF].
Commenting at the presentation of the award, Chuck Greif, Managing Director of Jacobsen Asia-Pacific, said: “PT Sahabat began their business some 50 years ago when the mother and father of the current directors started a used truck parts business. For the past 30 years they have been a key partner of Jacobsen in the Southeast Asia market.
“Even in the downturn, this dealer, with their strength in market penetrations, continued to grow their market share and now command over 50% share in their territory.
“Add to this their world-class service ensuring that their customers are supported at all levels, it is richly deserved that they should be crowned Asia-Pacific Distributor of the Year.”
Among other Asia-Pacific distributors recognised for their dedication and exceptional contribution to the Jacobsen business were the Mikuni Shoko Company, a division of Mikuni Corporation, based in Saitama, Japan.
Again, speaking before the presentation of the Outstanding Service award Greif, a Board Member of the AGIF, said: “Mikuni is an organisation that continues to place service ahead of everything else in the turf industry.
“They have proven themselves year over year as the leader in Japan, providing exceptional service and parts support.”
