
Ria Bintan’s Ocean Course.
Bintan, Indonesia: Amateur golfers have the chance to challenge Ria Bintan Golf Club’s award-winning Ocean Course.
The
Gary Player-designed layout will host the Ria Bintan Challenge on Friday, March 27.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming players from around the region,” said
Harris Farouk Abdullah, General Manager of the club that is a Golf Facility member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
The event consists of a single 18-hole round and will be played using System 36 individual stroke play, in accordance with the Rules of Golf approved by the R&A, USGA and the local rules of Ria Bintan Golf Club.
There will be a shotgun start at 10.30 am.
Entry fee [excluding ferry] has been set at S$170 or IDR 1,650,000. Entry fee including return ferry tickets is S$225.
As well as green fee and buggy fee, included in the entry fee is the prize presentation luncheon plus a goodie bag valued at over S$100.
Special room rate of S$119 is being offered for competitors who wish to arrive a day early or stay an extra night.
In addition to divisional prizes, the first player to record a hole-in-one will be rewarded with a one-year Elite Golf Plan membership and IDR50 million [about S$5,320].
Among the tournament sponsors are Titleist, FootJoy and Urban Fairways, all members of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
