St Andrews, Scotland: Kennedy Wilson Europe Real Estate PLC, owner of Fairmont St Andrews, the five-star luxury resort located at the ‘Home of Golf’, has selected Troon to manage its golf operations at the championship venue.
Adding another world-class facility to its international division, the announcement follows continued successes across Troon’s 43-strong collection of internationally managed properties, reaffirming the market-leading position of the Asian Golf Industry Federation [AGIF] Executive Member.
Set on a unique 520-acre coastal Scottish estate, in a region steeped in golfing history, Fairmont St Andrews offers visitors the perfect golfing oasis with access to two championship golf courses.
Overlooking the North Sea, The Kittocks and The Torrance courses will benefit from Troon’s all-encompassing knowledge-set for unsurpassed golf course conditioning.
“Troon Golf has always benefitted from a strong relationship with Scottish players and we are extremely pleased to welcome Fairmont St Andrews to our international collective, and our global portfolio,” said Dana Garmany, Founder and CEO, Troon.
“St Andrews is a spectacular region, rich in heritage and we’re excited to have been chosen to manage what will be a thrilling future for the venue as we enhance an already exciting golf experience.”
The hotel boasts over 200 lavish guest rooms, each providing an authentic Scottish theme. Accompanying the residential options, guests can sample dining from a plethora of outlets, including La Cucina with its contemporary Italian dining experience.
The fully-serviced clubhouse, which affords a stunning cliff-top setting with views over St Andrews Bay, provides an excellent end to any round specialising in locally sourced prime cuts and fresh seafood.
The luxurious Signature Spa completes the offering at Fairmont St Andrews, which also boasts an abundance of post-golf amenities available to guests including swimming pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and relaxation room.
The venue will now benefit from the collective-knowledge of over 250 courses managed worldwide, using best-practices to elevate the standards across the board at the ‘Home of Golf’.
In addition, the venue will benefit from Troon’s extensive loyalty schemes, specifically Troon Advantage, which offers members of Troon facilities preferential rates at other participating Troon facilities world-wide.

“We look forward to working closely with the golf and hotel teams on-site to further improve standards and build on the solid base that has been created since it first opened,” said Bruce Glasco, Chief Operating Officer, Managing Director, Troon International Operations.
“Fairmont St Andrews joins a fine collection of Troon-facilities in the UK, becoming our second Scottish venue and sitting alongside the likes of Prince’s Golf Club, The Grove and Centurion Club, the only Troon Privé club in the UK,” added Glasco, a Board member of the AGIF.
