Harrogate, England: Asian Golf Industry Federation Associate Member Swan Golf Designs is teaming up with the Greenkeepers Training Committee to present two workshops during next month’s BTME (BIGGA Turf Management Exhibition).
Howard Swan said: “At Swan Golf Designs it is our belief that there are no great secrets in golf course design and no cult of golf architecture.
“Having benefitted from three generations’ worth of Swan family experience in golf design and construction as well as working alongside many of the industry’s leading lights, we remain committed to the idea of sharing best practice. As such we are delighted to be teaming up with the Greenkeepers Training Committee once again.”
With the style, consistency and cost of bunkers remaining a hot topic for golfers and greenkeepers alike, Swan will lead a discussion alongside the original master greenkeeper Laurence Pithie on ‘Getting Your Bunkers Right’, taking in all aspects of design, construction and maintenance of what for most clubs are the most keenly debated course feature.
This is followed by a ‘Making Your Course Safe!’ workshop delivered in partnership with BritRisk Safety aimed at identifying, avoiding and mitigating against the risk of injury or damage occurring on the golf course.
