Oregon, United States: Nike has announced that Daric Ashford will become President of Nike Golf.
Ashford is currently Vice President-General Manager of Jordan Brand for North America and is a 21-year Nike veteran.
Ashford has held senior management positions across retail and sales within the Nike brand.
While working in Jordan Brand, Ashford has elevated the marketplace and brand through innovative merchandising, sales and marketplace strategies that deeply connect with consumers.
“Daric’s leadership has helped to deliver strong revenue growth and expand the Jordan Brand. His proven track record, along with his experience in global categories, makes him ideally suited to leading the golf business,” said Jayme Martin, VP-GM Global Categories.
Effective immediately, Ashford will report to Martin.
Ashford replaces Cindy Davis, who had been Nike Golf’s President since 2008. Nike announced Davis’ retirement on October 7.
Nike’s Tour staff is spearheaded by Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Michelle Wie.
The company recently released the new Vapor iron line and new Vapor wood line which includes the Vapor Pro driver that McIlroy put into play at the 2014 Ryder Cup.
Nike Golf is a Full Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
