Beaverton, United States: Nike Inc has announced that Cindy Davis, President of Nike Golf, plans to retire from Nike.
Davis joined Nike Golf USA as General Manager and has served as President of Nike Golf since 2008.
Jayme Martin, Nike’s Vice President and General Manager, Global Categories, said: “We thank Cindy for her leadership throughout the years as she has led the development and growth of Nike’s Golf Business worldwide.
“Under Cindy’s direction, Nike Golf has steadily delivered profitable growth year after year since 2009.”
A statement released by Nike golf said Davis’s successor ‘will be named at a later date’.
In an interview with US publication Golfweek in August, Davis said: “We believe this strongly, with what’s happening in the golf industry right now, there is a path for leadership for us right now. I really believe that.
“I think based on the marketplace, based on the competitive landscape, based on the transitioning. If you look at the strength of our innovations, the energy of our athletes, the power of our brand … we’re poised.”
Nike Golf is a Full Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
