Barcelona Spain:
Tenniel Chu, Vice Chairman of Mission Hills China, will address delegates at the 2014 European Golf Business Conference.
Acknowledged as a pioneer and leader in the development of the golf, leisure and tourism industry in China, Tenniel along with his brother
Ken Chu, have played a fundamental role in igniting the growth of golf in China.
Their approach has attracted numerous international tournaments as well as visits from golf’s biggest stars, beginning with
Tiger Woods’ first visit to China in 2001 – and again in 2011.
Mission Hills has staged four editions of the World Cup of Golf, two editions of the World Ladies Championship and two editions of the World Celebrity Pro-Am, featuring elite male and female golf professionals together with stars from entertainment and sports.
“I’m delighted to be attending the 2014 European Golf Business Conference and am honoured to accept the invitation from the European Golf Course Owners Association to deliver an address.
“In line with the conference’s central theme, VISION 2020, I intend to share with delegates some insights into golf’s future, key trends that are shaping our sport, how we are facing up to the challenges in China and what Asia and Europe can learn from each other with regard to golf’s continuing development.
“It promises to be an invigorating and illuminating few days in Barcelona and I look forward to meeting old friends and making new acquaintances at such a well-attended and prestigious event.”
The conference, now in its ninth year, will be hosted at the
Greg Norman-designed, Real Club de Golf El Prat on the outskirts of Barcelona from November 4-6.
