Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan, Kota Permai Golf and Country Club organised a breaking of fast dinner for under-privileged children.
Hari Raya goodies were presented to the children from Rumah Amal YPIN in Klang and also ‘duit raya’. The children and the caretakers were treated to a spread of Ramadhan delights, sponsored by the Club’s Chef from Big Hub Capital.
Tang Meng Loon, Group General Manager of Gamuda Land Club Operations and Townships, said: “We never get tired of seeing the happy faces of these children. The social responsibility is a voluntary decision that the entrepreneurial leadership of every company should make on its own.”
Since 2008, such charity drives have become part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of Kota Permai, a Golf Facility Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
Pn. Ema, Rumah Amal YPIN Home’s founder, said: “I thank Kota Permai’s management team for hosting us and bringing happiness to our children.”
There were magic show performances and a clown to entertain the children who later took to the stage to sing a song.
Meanwhile, at Botanic Resort Club, 40 children from Rumah Anak Yatim & Asnaf Al-Solihin were treated to a Ramadhan buffet spread.
The children were accompanied by the Home’s caretaker led by Tuan Haji Molyana Bin Mahmud. The children, aged between two and 17, were also presented with Raya festive goodies, hampers and ‘duit raya’.
