Hanoi, Vietnam: Flagstick will provide golf course construction management services and a team of between eight and 10 construction specialists to develop the FLC Samson Golf Links.
Located in Thanh Hoa Province, about 170 kilometres south of Hanoi, the 75-hectare beachside site is bordered by the South China Sea to the east and the Ma River to the north.
Nicklaus Design is busy drawing plans for a ‘links-style’ golf course using concepts from the great seaside courses of Scotland.
Earthwork has already begun on-site and Flagstick shapers will arrive in early August to begin sculpturing the golf course.
With an extremely accelerated schedule, the opening nine holes is scheduled for completion in February, 2015. The second nine holes will follow two months later.
Martin Moore, President, Flagstick, said: “Flagstick looks forward to working closely with FLC Group and Nicklaus Design to create this unique style world-class golf course in the heart of Vietnam.”
