Sydney, Australia: Organisers of The Ultimate Special Olympics Australia Golf Challenge are reaching out to Asian organisations for support.
To take place on November 17 at Riverside Oaks Golf Resort, the aim of the 54-hole event that is limited to 36 two-man teams is to raise awareness and funds for athletes with disabilities.
David Streichler, the event’s Sponsorship Manager, said: “We’re pleased to invite Asian Golf Industry Federation members to play at Riverside Oaks on a course that two weeks later will host the NSW PGA Championship and to experience the facilities the resort has to offer.
“Accommodation can be arranged a special rate and a special price to attend is available to those golfers that want to take part in a real challenge.”
The first 18 holes will be played in a two-ball Ambrose format. The second 18 holes is stroke play while the final 18 holes will see two teams join up to play a four-ball Ambrose.
