Singapore: Mizuno Singapore, in collaboration with Poh Bros Golf Academy, is setting up the Mizuno Golf School in the Island Republic.
The Mizuno Golf School Singapore was launched at a press conference.
Mizuno Golf School’s syllabus is created in collaboration between three-time PGA Teacher of the Year
Joe Thiel and Mizuno Golf School Japan
. Thiel has spent more than 37 years coaching, and boasts the prestigious PGA Master Professional designation.
Mizuno Golf School will have Thiel as the Lead Instructor. The modular syllabus developed by
Keigo Tsuchiya, Deputy Senior Manager of Mizuno Golf School, and Thiel is committed to training and helping both golfers and non-golfers to improve their game.
Mizuno Golf School will provides students with a textbook that is aligned with the training they will receive when they attend sessions at the Poh Bros Golf Academy at Toa Payoh from May 1 2014 and a golf course at the end of 2014.
David Leow, General Manager of Mizuno Singapore, said: “With the success of 420,000 students under-going this syllabus in Japan, with the guidance of a textbook and practical lessons co-created by Joe Thiel, this school will be made available with affordable prices to golf enthusiasts in Singapore.”
Thiel was inducted into the Mercer County Hall of Fame in 1999, and
Millennium Who’s Who in America. Thiel is one of the Top-100 Teachers in America by Golf Magazine for many years and Golf Driving Range Magazine also named him as one of the Top-50 Teachers in America.
Thiel has also been influential in the careers of some of Asia’s best-known golfers over the past 20 years.
