Toro Unveils Lynx Drive Irrigation Software

Bloomington, Minnesota, United States: Toro has debuted its new Lynx Drive golf irrigation software. Lynx Drive is an energised approach to a proven platform designed with golf course superintendents in mind.

“What’s known is new again with Lynx Drive. Toro has spent months completely overhauling the popular Lynx Central Control platform to redesign it for today’s superintendents,” said David Angier, Marketing Manager at Toro, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

He added: “The new Lynx Drive is an entirely new system truly designed for mobile, on-the-go-use, putting streamlined, full control of irrigation in a superintendent’s hands – literally.

“Detailed, transparent communication and the ability to make precision changes to programming in real-time from anywhere makes all the difference in terms of productivity, efficiency and labour savings.”

Launching in late 2024, Lynx Drive is an enhanced way to manage golf course irrigation systems with ease. Using Lynx Drive ensures superintendents and their teams will be informed about what is happening on the course at all times, resulting in more efficient operations.

Lynx Drive is designed specifically for smartphone or tablet use. The intuitive display includes larger buttons and text for enhanced visibility plus high-resolution images and colours for greater detail.

SmartNotes provides immediate communication with detailed notes, photos and team transparency. The ability to include a device name allows a view of who performed actions, while date and time stamps on photos deliver additional detail. SmartNotes maintains a note’s history for up to one year.

Issue flags pinpoint an issue report and associate it with a specific station, ensuring adjustments are always made in the correct spot. All alerts can be viewed by the entire crew for full transparency and timely action.

Additionally, the new expanded mapping features enable users to include files that can be shared through mobile and desktop programmes. This allows for easy collaboration across a team and for effortless communication from day to day. Furthermore, changes can be made directly from the map on the app, without the need to navigate to a different screen.

“We fully anticipate Lynx Drive to do just what its name entails – drive productivity, labour savings and more efficient use of water for golf course superintendents in real-time,” Angier said.
