Singapore: Fans attending this week’s Porsche Singapore Classic at Laguna National Golf Resort Club will have a unique chance to drive off with a ‘supercar’.

On the course, 2019 Open champion Shane Lowry, 15-time DP World Tour winner Paul Casey and defending champion Ockie Strydom will spearhead the field in the US$2.5 million DP World Tour event from March 21-24.

Meanwhile, off the award-winning Classic Course, there will be plenty of other highlights for visitors to enjoy, including the opportunity to win a Porsche Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid.

At the Spectator Village, there will be an exciting new twist to a Closest-to-the-Pin contest – the Porsche Panamera Shootout Qualifier with the top three qualifiers getting the opportunity to join the Porsche Panamera Shootout finals after the final round on Sunday. The first qualifier who makes an ace on the island green par-three 17th hole on the Classic Course will win the Porsche Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid.

Porsche Singapore Classic Executive Championship Director Patrick Bowers said: “We are offering an exciting series of activities that will cater to a range of audiences – from those who are new to golf and would like attend and check out their first golf event, to fans who are eagerly awaiting the action on the course from some of the biggest and most exciting names in golf.

“At the Laguna National Golf Resort Club, we have a wonderful opportunity to bring the game to more fans across all ages and levels of interest.

“This year, we also have the benefit of a new title sponsor whose active involvement will elevate the Spectator Village to the next level. The Porsche Panamera Shootout is one activity that fans will no doubt be looking out for. All these activities were specially designed to further enhance the fan experience at the Porsche Singapore Classic, and we hope the audience enjoys their time at our event.”

Spectators can commemorate their visit to Laguna National with a photo at the Porsche Singapore Classic’s official welcome backdrop, where a Porsche Art Car will be displayed.

Other highlights include Par-Tee Time, a timed game where participants balance 18 balls on 18 tees, the Birdie Blitz Rewards claw machine, Leadbetter Golf Academy Kids Putting Challenge, and the Choose Your Man interactive display map for fans to show support for their favourite players competing in the Porsche Singapore Classic.

There are also plenty of opportunities for spectators to show off their creativity. Aspiring artists of all ages can display their work on a Doodle Wall, while those who want a memento of their drawings can visit the Be A Baller station and have their artwork immortalised on a collectible golf ball.

At the official merchandise shop, exclusive Porsche Singapore Classic logo wear will be featured as well as the Shisheido global suncare chalet for visitors to top up their sunscreen before heading out on course.

A multitude of food and beverage options will also be available throughout the week, while the action at Laguna National will continue even after play has concluded.
