Bangkok, Thailand: This year’s PGA of Great Britain & Ireland (PGA of GB&I) Members’ International Conference is heading to Bangkok.

“We are delighted to announce that the 2024 PGA Members’ International Conference will be held at The Banyan Tree Bangkok,” said a spokesperson for the association.

Open to all PGA of GB&I Members around the world (including the United Kingdom and Ireland), the event will take place from April 22-25.

The conference returned in March 2023 after a three-year hiatus caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, with 44 delegates from a variety of different sectors in golf coming together to network, learn and socialise.

“This year’s PGA Members’ International Conference promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with more information around speakers and pricing to be released in the coming weeks.

“The event is also an opportunity to meet and put your questions to PGA Chief Executive Robert Maxfield and the senior team,” added the spokesperson.

Maxfield, who delivered the opening address at last year’s four-day conference in Phuket, said: “The conference is a great way to meet fellow Members, share ideas and learn from some of the most respected figures in the golf industry.

“We received incredible feedback from Members and delegates who attended the conference.”

Among the speakers in 2023 were representatives from numerous Asian Golf Industry Federation member companies: AGIF President Chris Gray, Head of Agronomy and Sustainability for The R&A in Asia; DJ Flanders (Senior Vice President, Troon International); Eric Lynge (Director, Sporting Insights Asia); Mark Siegel (CEO, Golfasian); Andy Brown (Senior Sales Manager for Global Business Development at Toro UK); and Brad Burgess (Managing Director, Sports Turf Solutions).

Burgess said: “It was an honour to speak about turfgrasses at the PGA International Meeting. It’s a great concept to combine people from all sectors of the industry with PGA Professionals over several days.”

The PGA of Great Britain & Ireland is an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.
