Changes in Soil Scout Team

Helsinki, Finland: Soil Scout has announced changes to its growing team. While Adam Sedgwick, Vice President International Sales, is departing from the company, Ville Oksanen is assuming the post of Business Controller working from the company headquarters in Helsinki, and Jussi Uusitalo joins the production team based at Lieto.

“Adam is moving onto new adventures from Soil Scout. We are sad to see him go, but wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours,” said Jalmari Talola, Chief Executive Officer at Soil Scout, an Associate Business Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation.

Talola said Soil Scout’s day-to-day operations with its customers will continue as usual with new contact people. Customers will be contacted individually to introduce the possible new contact person at Soil Scout.

“Adam will continue to be a part of Soil Scout’s network. We are proud of what we have built together with Adam during these past few years and want to thank him for all his work. We look forward to seeing him continue to succeed,” said Talola.

Oksanen is a Bachelor of Business administration who previously worked for Greenstep where he helped start-ups and medium sized tech companies with services that they would need for general financial and business administration.

Uusitalo is currently studying industrial management and engineering with only the final thesis left for the fall 2022. As a part of his studies, he has participated in production related projects where he has been seeking solutions for production optimisation and quality improvements.

Talola said: “We are really pleased to welcome Ville and Jussi to the team. The company continues to grow in accordance with our plans and we are committed to bringing in talented people to fulfil key roles to make this happen.”

Soil Scout provides the most advanced fully buried underground wireless soil sensor and monitoring solution for professionals in agriculture, golf and sports turf maintenance.

Wembley Stadium and the Philadelphia Phillies are among the iconic venues that use Soil Scout to maintain their turf in tip-top shape while reducing maintenance costs and water consumption.
